Gemma Bergin started her new venture, GB Careers last year after working in the recruitment industry for many years, and wanted to strike out on her own. Gemma specialises in a bespoke service for her clients, recruiting for the creative sector.
Gemma approached me with a brief to design for her a brand and website which would stand out to her market of creative businesses and jobseekers. Since the industry she was catering to were creative, it needed to be graphically stunning, whilst giving her the capability to manage job listings and content herself going forward.
I first worked on the brand design, which included 5 different concepts for her to choose from. She fell in love with one concept, and after a few small amends was ready for her to use across her stationery and professional identity.
Once the brand was decided, I produced a mockup of the site. Design was key, so I went for bold and striking graphics, moving as far away from corporate as possible, and injecting Gemma’s fun and friendly personality. She loved the design straight away, and the build and publishing of the site was completed in no time. Gemma provided some fantastic copy, and the job board functionality was included to display job descriptions and capability for jobseekers to put in applications and attach their CV.
Gemma was very pleased with the resulting site, and has received training on how to keep it updated herself, which she has been ably doing for a number of months. I look forward to working with her as her business grows.
